Ladies and Gentlemen;

IC 2009 is already running full steam ahead.  We have at least 50 people signed up already and we are looking for more.  Let’s make this STARFLEET’s biggest and best party of 2009.  The committee is working hard to make it happen, but it will all be for nothing if YOU don’t show up.  You can also send topics of interest to us to consider for panels.  If there is something that YOU would like to see happen, let us know.  We can’t promise to use every idea, but we can promise to consider them.

We would also like to know if anyone is planning on bringing Cadets to the event.  This would allow us to plan programing that will interest that age group.  If you would like to make any program suggestions of send a list of Cadet and their ages, you can do so to me at Dragonladye@wildblue.net and I will pass the info on to the rest of the Crew.

I ditched the Blogger backend and added a WordPress blog. I embedded the main blog into the main index page. I do not have all the whiz-bang blog features enabled, saw no real need for it at this time.

I realize that this year is an unusual year due to the tax issues. Because of this we are not yet allowed to sell our patches or register people for the event. As soon as the Tax Task Force gives the go ahead, we will begin the actual registration and fund raising efforts.

I know a lot of people are looking forward to this IC and many of them have already contacted me to register. I apologize for the delay in registration and assure you that the Committee wants to register you as early as possible. We were not able to register during the IC in Denver at the posted rate of $25 early registration. Because of this we will be offering this price for a short time as soon as possible. The announcement of the Mission Planning Price ($25) will be made here and on the STARFLEET list and the Corps list once the sales ban has been lifted.

Thank you for your interest in the event and stay tuned for further developments. In the meantime we urge you to take a look at the Ithaca IC08 website. This looks to be an exciting event with an interesting theme and an experienced committee. Check it out and we will hopefully see you there.

Shortly after noon Denver time, the IC 2009 website went live. So it’s begun. We’re now officially live. Please feel free to look around the site. Email the webmaster if you see anything out of place or any incorrect information. You may also contact the team with any questions or concerns.

While you are at it, go ahead and sign up for our mailing list. We’ll be keeping information current on that list. You may also subscribe to our RSS feed and stay current with the latest information regarding IC 2009.

Greetings. On behalf of the Greensboro Bid Committee, I would like to welcome you to the official website of the STARFLEET International Conference 2009. The IC will be held in Greensboro, NC at the Mariott Airport Hotel August 7th through August 10th, 2009.

Wow. That’s two years away.

This site will “go live” after the announcement of the award for IC 2009 to the Greensboro Team at IC 2007 in Denver the weekend of August 11, 2007.

Once the site is live, STARFLEET members may check back frequently to this website, and in particular this news weblog, for up to the minute information on IC 2009 as it develops. The weblog also has a syndication feed, please feel free to add it to your reader.
